Preconstruction Center

Privately funded by 170 industry partners, the former Industrial Sciences building, originally constructed in 1883, was completely renovated because of the commitment of dozens of area construction and mechanical contracting firms who donated money, products, supplies, labor and equipment. The renovation features a state-of-the-art preconstruction laboratory, classrooms, lecture hall, study lounge, technology center and public spaces. The renovated rooms bear the names of the firms that donated to give new life and a more useful future to one of the university’s historical landmarks.
